The compensation for the Guest Service Associate position ranges from $9 to $12 per hour, coupled with tips ranging from $30 to $50 per shift. The Guest Service Associate role is essential to Towne Park’s mission of customer satisfaction and hospitality excellence. This position is responsible for providing outstanding hospitality services by maintaining a friendly, professional demeanor and ensuring guests have a smooth and pleasant experience from arrival to departure. Primary duties include parking and retrieving vehicles with care and safety, assisting with luggage handling, offering directions, and delivering key information about the facility and surrounding attractions. The associate plays a crucial role in managing parking procedures, issuing claim checks, and handling guest revenue accurately. Working primarily outdoors, associates will be exposed to varying weather conditions and must be physically capable of meeting the job's demands, which include standing, walking, lifting objects up to 100 pounds, and operating vehicles safely. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license for the state or commutable distance
- One month of related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read, write and comprehend standard English
- Ability to present information effectively in small group and one-on-one situations
- Ability to perform basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division with American money
- Ability to understand time systems and applicable rates
- Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Ability to perform parallel parking
- Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state of employment or within commutable distance
- One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
- Ability to read and write standard English language
- Ability to comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to present information effectively to guests, clients and employees
- Ability to perform basic math operations with American currency
- Ability to understand 24-hour and military time systems
- Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
- Ability to perform parallel parking is highly desirable
- Ability to operate a manual transmission is a plus
Job Duties
- Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers and clients
- Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using professional and friendly demeanor
- Use guest last names during interactions
- Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
- Practice proper Towne Park phone etiquette
- Post up in designated areas when not completing tasks
- Park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
- Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed
- Open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
- Provide guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms and/or amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area
- Deliver messages, items and/or guest amenities as requested
- Shuttle guests to appropriate places approved by the location
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival
- Issue claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys
- Collect claim checks from guests prior to issuing keys
- Complete and maintain all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey and claim check receipt
- Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed
