Job Description

Parking Management Company (PMC) is a nationally recognized leader in the hospitality-focused parking services industry, headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee. PMC has established itself as a premier service provider by delivering valet and self-parking management, shuttle services, event parking, and porter/bell services across diverse sectors such as hotels, resorts, healthcare facilities, and event venues. The company is deeply committed to excellence and upholds a guest-first philosophy, positioning itself as an extension of the hospitality experience. PMC prides itself on offering seamless, high-touch service that enhances the guest experience, ensuring partners receive consistent and exceptional operational support.

As a Valet Attendant at PMC, you hold a pivotal role that goes beyond merely parking cars. This position places you at the forefront of the guest experience, responsible for creating a warm, professional impression from the moment guests arrive until they depart. Emphasizing safety, efficiency, and superior customer service, the Valet Attendant role is essential in maintaining PMC’s reputation for excellence within luxury hotels, resorts, and events. This position reports to the Guest Service Coordinator and operates within the Valet Parking Division. Employment opportunities are available on both a full-time and part-time basis, and the role is classified as non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act, which makes the role eligible for overtime pay.

The compensation for Valet Attendants ranges from $13.00 to $20.00 or more per hour after tips and base pay combined, with rates varying by market and tip earnings dependent on service performance and customer interaction quality. Valets are expected to deliver a guest experience characterized by energy, confidence, and attention to detail. This role offers more than competitive pay; it provides valuable experience in customer service within a vibrant, fast-paced hospitality environment, requiring members to stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds, often in varying weather conditions. The job requires operational flexibility including working nights, weekends, and holidays, aligning with hospitality demands.

Key responsibilities include conducting vehicle inspections to document any damages and parking locations, safely parking and retrieving vehicles while strictly adhering to safety protocols, and maintaining valet area cleanliness and organization. The role also demands high professionalism in handling guest inquiries and challenging situations, fostering a team-oriented environment, and ensuring consistent compliance with attendance and timekeeping procedures.

PMC values dependability and expects valet attendants to demonstrate professionalism by arriving on time, in full uniform, and properly groomed. In addition to vehicle handling skills, exceptional guest service through professional communication, active listening, and personalized assistance is crucial. This role requires a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, a clean motor vehicle record with no more than three moving violations in the past three years, and the successful passing of a background check.

Employees benefit from an array of comprehensive programs including health (medical, vision, and dental) insurance upon eligibility, 401K plans, supplemental insurance options such as life and critical illness coverage, bonus opportunities, paid time off, paid training, and leadership development initiatives. PMC is also a military-friendly employer and supports continued education with tuition assistance at Bellevue University up to $5,250 per year. The company encourages an environment of pay transparency and equal employment opportunity, compliant with federal, state, and local laws. PMC’s culture of inclusivity and safety ensures reasonable accommodations are made to enable all employees to perform their duties effectively.

Working at PMC offers the chance to be part of a dynamic team that sets the standard for hospitality-focused parking services. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy an active, social work environment, take pride in vehicle safety and guest comfort, and aspire to grow professionally within a supportive and industry-leading company.
