The Guest Service Associate role at Towne Park is integral to maintaining the high standards of service expected by its clientele. This position involves attentively assisting guests, parking and retrieving vehicles safely, handling luggage with care, and providing valuable information about local amenities and attractions. The hourly base pay for this role starts at $16.90 per hour, with an additional $1.50 shift differential for overnight work, complemented by the opportunity to earn tips. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license for state of work or nearby state
  • One month related experience or equivalent education and experience
  • Ability to read and write English
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission highly desirable
  • Ability to perform parallel parking
  • Able to stand or sit for extended periods
  • Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state of employment or within a commutable distance
  • One month related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
  • Ability to read and write standard English
  • Ability to comprehend simple instructions, correspondence and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information one-on-one and in small group settings
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division with money
  • Understanding of 24-hour and military time systems
  • Ability to understand time-based rates
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
  • Skill in performing parallel parking

Job Duties

  • Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients
  • Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using guest last names
  • Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
  • Practice proper Towne Park phone etiquette
  • Park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
  • Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage
  • Open vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
  • Provide information about outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, and local attractions
  • Deliver messages, items, and guest amenities as requested
  • Shuttle guests to approved locations
  • Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival
  • Issue claim checks after receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks prior to issuing keys
  • Complete and maintain all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey and claim check receipt
  • Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed
