The role of a Valet Attendant at FINE Airport Parking places you at the forefront of the customer experience, making a critical impact on how guests perceive the service. As a Valet Attendant, you will be responsible for receiving, parking, staging, and retrieving vehicles according to established traffic plans, while operating both automatic and manual transmissions and safeguarding guest property. This role demands attention to detail, as you will inspect and document pre-existing vehicle damage, maintain ticket accuracy, and exercise disciplined key control.

Beyond the core remit of vehicle handling, this role requires excellent customer interaction skills. Valet Attendants assist guests curbside with luggage handling and wayfinding, ensuring a smooth flow of traffic and communication with dispatch and customer experience representatives. Safety is paramount, involving the maintenance of curb safety protocols with cones, signage, and proper personal protective equipment, as well as adherence to speed and pedestrian safety rules. You will also play an important part in directing traffic and managing congestion during busy periods.

At locations equipped with a Detail Shop, Valet Attendants engage guests to promote on-the-spot detailing services, enhancing the overall guest experience and supporting sales activities. You will be expected to ensure your workstation readiness and conduct routine equipment checks to guarantee safe and efficient curb operations. This role is dynamic and may involve other related duties consistent with your training, safety considerations, and business needs.

Job Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license for at least 2 consecutive years
  • meet insurer insurability criteria
  • annual MVR review
  • shuttle duty (if assigned) requires age 23+ per insurer
  • ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and negotiate three steps while carrying
  • comply with FINE’s substance-free workplace policy
  • perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation

Job Qualifications

  • Proficient and defensive driving
  • clear radio communication and disciplined key and lot control
  • strong customer service skills with a sense of urgency at the curb
  • proven sales skills, including approaching guests, handling simple objections, closing sales, and documenting transactions
  • reliable attendance and punctuality
  • valet or parking operations experience preferred
  • dealership porter experience preferred
  • retail sales or service writer experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Receive, park, stage, and retrieve vehicles according to traffic plans
  • operate automatic and manual transmissions while safeguarding guest property and personal information
  • inspect and document pre-existing vehicle damage per SOP
  • maintain ticket accuracy and key control
  • assist guests curbside, including luggage handling and wayfinding
  • communicate with Dispatch and Customer Experience Representatives to maintain smooth curb flow
  • maintain curb safety using cones, signage, and required PPE
  • follow speed and pedestrian safety rules
  • complete incident reports as needed
  • direct traffic to keep aisles and walkways clear and manage congestion during peak periods
  • engage guests at Detail Shop locations, explain service options, capture referrals, and route vehicles to the shop as appropriate
  • ensure workstation readiness and perform routine equipment checks for safe curb operations
  • perform other job-related duties of similar nature and level as assigned
