Job Description
Parking Management Company (PMC) is a national industry leader specializing in hospitality-focused parking services. Headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, PMC delivers expert valet and self-parking management, shuttle services, event parking, and porter/bell services across key sectors such as hotels, resorts, healthcare facilities, and event venues. By combining dependable operational support with a guest-first mindset, PMC serves as a vital extension of the hospitality experience, aiming to provide seamless, high-touch service to both partners and guests. The company holds a strong reputation for operational excellence, continuous training, and promoting a professional, welcoming environment for all guests and employees. PMC is committed to pay transparency, equal employment opportunities, and employee development, offering competitive wages and comprehensive benefits.
The role of Hospitality Valet Attendant within PMC's Valet Parking Operations department focuses on delivering an exceptional guest experience at luxury hotels, resorts, and events. Valet Attendants are often the very first and final impression for guests arriving or leaving these esteemed locations. This role requires attentiveness, efficiency, and an energetic presence while parking and retrieving vehicles safely. Valet Attendants must exhibit professionalism, have excellent communication skills, and maintain a polished appearance at all times. Working closely with the Guest Service Coordinator and Valet Supervisor, attendants support smooth vehicle traffic flow, conduct thorough vehicle inspections to note any damages, and uphold the high standards of safety and customer service that PMC is known for.
Role responsibilities extend beyond vehicle management to include maintaining a neat and orderly valet area, handling any guest or operational challenges professionally and promptly, and actively participating in company-required training and meetings. The position offers both full-time and part-time schedules, accommodating a broad range of availability and lifestyles. Compensation includes an hourly base rate supplemented by tips, with valets earning approximately $13.00 to $20.00 or more per hour after combining pay and gratuities. These rates may vary depending on the specific market and individual performance in customer interactions. Valet Attendants gain valuable experience in hospitality service, teamwork, and safety compliance, all within a dynamic, fast-paced environment that rewards professionalism and dedication.
PMC strongly emphasizes employee well-being, offering benefits such as medical, vision, and dental insurance after eligibility, 401(k) retirement plans, life and critical illness insurance options, paid time off, tuition assistance programs, and leadership development opportunities. As an equal opportunity employer dedicated to diversity and inclusion, PMC follows all relevant state and federal labor laws, including compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act and accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act. This role is classified as non-exempt, meaning eligible employees will receive overtime pay as applicable. Overall, PMC presents a supportive and engaging workplace ideal for individuals passionate about hospitality and customer service, aiming to create memorable experiences for guests while growing their professional careers in the parking management industry.
