The Edgewater Hotel prides itself on its rich heritage, stunning views of the Olympic Mountains and Seattle skyline, and a unique atmosphere that combines classic elegance with a welcoming and warm ambiance. As part of The Noble House philosophy, the hotel emphasizes not only premier location and distinctiveness but also a collective spirit among its team members who share a passion for hospitality and guest service excellence. This spirit is embodied in their core value of having fun, which fosters a vibrant and engaging workplace where individuality and collaboration thrive.
Located in a prime waterfront location, The Edgewater Hotel is dedicated to delivering outstanding guest experiences through personalized and heartfelt service. The team members are encouraged to bring their personalities to work and to contribute to a culture where distinction and soul are celebrated. This commitment to excellence and a fun, inclusive work environment makes The Edgewater Hotel an exceptional place to build a career in the hospitality industry.
The Edgewater Hotel is currently seeking a Valet Attendant to join its Guest Services team for a seasonal role anticipated from May 1 through September 30, with some flexibility on dates. The Valet Attendant plays a crucial role in fostering a warm, friendly, and efficient experience for guests from the moment they arrive until their departure, including any valet or shuttle service needs during their stay. This position demands a professional demeanor, strong attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills, and effective communication, alongside a thorough knowledge of the Seattle area and the hotel’s services and amenities to assist guests confidently.
The role involves primarily bell and shuttle service duties with additional valet responsibilities as needed. The ideal candidate must be able to stand for long periods and work both indoors and outdoors. The position offers a competitive hourly wage of $21.30 plus tips and comes with attractive benefits such as a $50 insurance package covering medical, dental, and vision for individuals and families, a retirement plan, paid holidays, personal, vacation, and sick days, valet parking discounts, uniforms with complimentary dry cleaning, complimentary meals during paid breaks, a bus pass reimbursement program covering 50% of public transportation costs, and travel discounts for hotels and restaurants nationwide. Recognition programs such as gift cards, incentives, and opportunities for career advancement are also part of the perks offered to associates.
Working at The Edgewater Hotel means becoming part of a team that values individual distinction and collective soul, where every team member contributes to the unique atmosphere and guest experience that define the property. This seasonal opportunity is well-suited for individuals looking to engage with guests in a dynamic, historic setting and to gain valuable hospitality industry experience with a company that cares about its people and their professional growth.
