Towne Park is currently seeking a Guest Service Associate who will be responsible for providing outstanding hospitality services in a friendly, attentive, and efficient manner. This hourly position offers a base pay of $21.50 per hour plus tips, with an additional $2 shift differential for overnight shifts. The role operates on a schedule covering Monday through Sunday, ensuring flexibility and meeting the needs of the dynamic hospitality environment. The Guest Service Associate will play an essential role in parking and retrieving guest vehicles safely and promptly while assisting with luggage delivery and pick-up. This individual will exemplify professionalism by maintaining a pleasant demeanor, greeting guests warmly, and delivering personalized experiences by using guests' last names when interacting. The position also involves guiding guests with directions, reservations, and local information to enrich their stay.
This role requires attention to detail, especially regarding parking procedures, issuing claim checks, completing ticket information accurately, and collecting revenue when needed. The job may necessitate physical activity such as walking, standing for prolonged periods, handling luggage, and operating vehicles, including performing parallel parking and driving cautiously. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license for the state of work or commutable distance
- One month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to perform basic mathematical operations
- Ability to safely drive and park vehicles
- Ability to handle physical demands of the job such as lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Availability to work Monday through Sunday as scheduled
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must hold a valid driver's license for the state you are applying to work, or within a commutable distance from the state you are applying to work
- One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
- Ability to read and write standard English language
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients and other employees of the organization
- Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money
- Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
- Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
- Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
- Ability to perform parallel parking
Job Duties
- Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients
- Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor
- Use guest last names during interactions
- Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
- Practice proper Towne Park phone etiquette
- Post up in designated areas when not completing tasks
- Park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
- Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed
- Open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
- Provide guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms and/or amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area
- Deliver messages, items and/or guest amenities as requested
- Shuttle guests to appropriate places that are approved by the location
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival
- Issue claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks from all guests prior to issuing keys
- Consistently complete and maintain all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey and claim check receipt from all vehicles taken into the valet system
- Consistently complete location on all key tags after parking vehicle
- Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed
