The role of Guest Service Associate at Towne Park is an integral part of maintaining the high standards of hospitality that the company upholds. This position involves providing outstanding service to guests, ensuring their experience is smooth, friendly, and efficient from arrival to departure. The Guest Service Associate is responsible primarily for parking and retrieving guests’ vehicles safely and promptly while also providing assistance with luggage services as required. Employees in this role are expected to maintain a professional and approachable demeanor, addressing guests courteously, learning and using guests’ last names during interactions, and providing helpful information about the location, services, and surrounding area.

This role requires open availability, reflecting the need for flexible scheduling to meet the needs of the business and its guests. Compensation for the position comprises a competitive hourly base pay starting at $14.50 per hour, with additional income opportunities through tips. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • valid driver's license for the state you are applying to work or within a commutable distance
  • one (1) month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
  • ability to read and write standard English language
  • ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
  • ability to write simple correspondence
  • ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
  • ability to perform basic arithmetic using American money
  • ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
  • ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
  • ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
  • perform parallel parking

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • maintains pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients
  • acknowledges and greets guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor
  • uses guest last names during interactions
  • uses salutation of the day and welcomes guests to the location
  • practices proper Towne Park phone etiquette
  • parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
  • assists guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed
  • opens all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
  • provides guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms and/or amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area
  • delivers messages, items and/or guest amenities as requested
  • shuttles guests to appropriate places that are approved by the location
  • explains parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival
  • issues claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collects claim checks from all guests prior to issuing keys
  • consistently completes and maintains all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey and claim check receipt from all vehicles taken into the valet system
  • calculates and collects revenue for vehicles when needed
