The role of the Guest Service Associate at Towne Park is integral to upholding the company's reputation for outstanding service. Associates will also explain parking rates and retrieval procedures, manage claim checks and vehicle keys accurately, and calculate revenue when necessary. This role demands physical stamina, as employees frequently work outdoors in varied weather conditions and must be able to lift significant weight while providing prompt and courteous guest service.

Successful candidates will possess a high school diploma or GED and hold a valid driver's license for the applicable state or a commutable distance. The ability to perform mathematical calculations related to money and time, understand military time systems, and operate manual transmissions and perform parallel parking are desirable skills. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must hold a valid driver's license for the state of employment or within a commutable distance
  • One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and write in standard English
  • Ability to comprehend and follow simple instructions and correspondence
  • Physical ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and 50 pounds frequently
  • Capability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Availability to work morning and evening shifts including weekends
  • Ability to operate vehicles cautiously and safely

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
  • Ability to read and write standard English language
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
  • Ability to perform mathematical operations using American money units
  • Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
  • Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
  • Ability to operate manual transmissions is highly desirable
  • Ability to perform parallel parking

Job Duties

  • Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients
  • Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using guest last names
  • Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
  • Practice proper Towne Park phone etiquette
  • Park and retrieve vehicles cautiously while driving slowly
  • Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage
  • Open vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and inquiries
  • Provide information about outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, and local attractions
  • Deliver messages, items and guest amenities as requested
  • Shuttle guests to approved locations
  • Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures upon arrival
  • Issue claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks prior to issuing keys
  • Complete and maintain all ticket information, including key tags, guest folios, vehicle location, damage surveys and claim check receipts
  • Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed
