The Guest Service Associate position is essential within Towne Park's operational framework. This role is primarily responsible for providing attentive, friendly, and efficient hospitality services to guests, which includes parking and retrieving vehicles safely and promptly. Associates also assist guests with luggage handling during arrivals and departures, offer directions, facilitate taxi or shuttle services, and deliver essential messages and guest amenities. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multi-tasking while maintaining a courteous and professional interaction with clients.
Employees in this position work a Monday through Sunday schedule covering morning and evening shifts, with an hourly base pay starting at $19.18 plus tips and a $3 shift differential applied to overnight shifts. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Valid driver’s license for the state or within commutable distance
- One month related experience and or training or equivalent education and experience
- Knowledge of customer service principles and processes
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to comprehend simple instructions and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to present information effectively
- Ability to perform basic math including money calculations
- Ability to understand time systems and rates
- Ability to operate a manual transmission (desirable)
- Ability to perform parallel parking
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and up to 50 pounds frequently
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state you are applying to work or within a commutable distance
- One month related experience and or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
- Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money
- Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
- Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
- Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
- Perform parallel parking
Job Duties
- Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers and clients
- Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using professional and friendly demeanor and guest last names
- Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
- Practice proper Towne Park phone etiquette
- Post up in designated areas when not completing tasks
- Park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
- Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed
- Open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
- Provide guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms and amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area
- Deliver messages, items and guest amenities as requested
- Shuttle guests to approved places
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival
- Issue claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks prior to issuing keys
- Complete and maintain all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey and claim check receipt
- Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed
