The role available at The Lofton Hotel offers a rewarding career opportunity as a Bellperson, where friendly and professional guest service is at the forefront. The Bellperson acts as the first point of contact for guests arriving at the hotel and plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive first impression. Responsibilities include greeting guests warmly and sincerely, assisting with luggage by retrieving and transporting items to guest rooms using bell carts, and providing accurate information to inquiries. This position requires physical stamina as the job involves grasping, lifting, carrying, and loading luggage and packages weighing up to 45 pounds throughout the shift while navigating through public and private areas of the hotel.

Employees are expected to maintain a professional image at all times while working, uphold cleanliness, and adhere to proper sanitation and personal hygiene standards. Communication skills are essential, including the ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions as well as effectively communicate in English. Candidates should have sufficient reading ability to interpret luggage tags and claim checks accurately and a valid driver's license with a good driving record. This hourly position offers competitive compensation starting at $17.87 per hour, providing stable income with the added benefits of a supportive team and career growth potential.
