Job Description
Pechanga Resort Casino is a premier entertainment destination located on the Pechanga Band of Luiseño Indians' land in Temecula, California. Known for its luxurious amenities and vibrant gaming experience, the resort casino combines world-class hospitality with a rich cultural heritage. Pechanga Resort Casino features a vast gaming floor, multiple fine dining restaurants, elegant hotel accommodations, a spa, and extensive event venues. The establishment prides itself on delivering Four Diamond service, ensuring that every guest receives exceptional care and attention throughout their visit. This commitment to quality is embedded in the culture of the resort, reflecting in the professionalism and dedication of its team members.
The Valet Attendant role at Pechanga Resort Casino is fundamental in maintaining the high standards of guest service that the resort is known for. This position serves as the first point of contact for guests arriving at the resort, providing a welcoming atmosphere and offering helpful information about the casino and the surrounding city. The valet attendants are responsible for parking and retrieving guest vehicles efficiently and safely while protecting the assets of both the guests and the resort. Candidates will be expected to adhere strictly to all traffic regulations, handle vehicles with care, and maintain the security of keys and parking tickets. This role demands not only excellent driving skills but also superior customer service abilities and a professional demeanor.
Beyond the operational tasks, valet attendants play a key role in delivering Pechanga Resort Casino's Four Diamond Service Agreement, which highlights commitments to quality standards and guest satisfaction. This encompasses greeting guests warmly, responding to special requests promptly, and communicating clearly with guests and colleagues using radios and telephones. Attention to detail is critical, particularly when checking vehicles for damage and recording any findings accurately to prevent disputes and ensure transparency. The position is accountable for safeguarding the resort's assets, including vehicles and property, and maintaining compliance with all resort policies and procedures.
Applicants must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent and have some related experience or training, preferably around three to six months. Essential skills include the ability to read and comprehend instructions, perform basic mathematical calculations, and handle communication effectively both verbally and in writing. Valet attendants should demonstrate the ability to apply common sense, work independently, and handle stressful or challenging situations with professionalism and grace. They must also be physically capable of driving vehicles with manual transmissions and be flexible with work hours, including availability on weekends and holidays.
This role does not involve supervisory responsibilities but requires a high degree of responsibility and trustworthiness due to the nature of handling guests' vehicles and resort assets. Valid licensing and a clean driving record are mandatory, along with the ability to obtain and maintain a class A gaming license. The ideal candidate exhibits a friendly attitude, maintains excellent eye contact when communicating, and can adapt to the dynamic environment of a busy luxury resort casino. Those who succeed in this role contribute significantly to the positive reputation and ongoing success of Pechanga Resort Casino by ensuring a smooth, courteous, and secure valet service experience for every guest.
