The part-time Attendant position at All About Parking Inc. plays a crucial client-facing role with responsibilities encompassing valet services, electric vehicle management, and driving operations. This role requires individuals who are enthusiastic about delivering exceptional customer service, demonstrating a welcoming demeanor, and effectively managing vehicle parking and retrieval tasks. The Attendant will greet customers warmly, assist them by answering questions professionally, and support additional services such as providing directions, traffic control, and key audits. They are also responsible for maintaining EV charging stations and supporting activities aimed at maximizing throughput for efficient charging.

Beyond the direct customer interaction, the Attendant is expected to maintain clean and orderly work environments and uphold company policies in all operations. The position demands operational knowledge of ticketing systems, cash handling, and key management procedures. Flexibility with work shifts to cover peak demand periods and emergency situations is essential. Additionally, the role involves technical aspects such as reporting, vehicle operations compliance, and occasionally assisting others within the team.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 19 years of age
  • must have 3 years of driving experience
  • must possess a valid drivers license with no accidents or 2-point driving infractions in the last 5 years
  • fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • some customer service or public relations experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • possess enthusiasm for delivering exceptional customer service
  • ability to communicate in a positive manner with co-workers, customers and vendors at all times
  • work effectively on a team and independently to resolve customer issues
  • assist in maintaining station operations
  • maintain EV operations
  • maintain vehicle driving operations
  • recommend procedures that increase efficiency and maximize throughput for charging
  • provide hands-on EV training as needed
  • accommodate a flexible work schedule including different times and locations
  • ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to report data and execute other duties with minimal direction
  • ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
  • must possess a cell phone and email account and a reliable means of transportation to work

Job Duties

  • Comply with all company policies and procedures
  • assist in maintaining station operations
  • update valet and EV charging logs
  • maintain a clean and orderly work environment including relief of car backlog
  • acknowledge and greet all incoming customers in a friendly manner
  • perform outdoor concierge/customer service duties as requested
  • anticipate and facilitate customer needs such as requesting their car, opening car doors, assistance with wheelchairs, luggage, holding umbrellas, providing directions, directing traffic
  • tactfully manage difficult or emotional customer situations
  • safely perform valet parking and EV services including parking, retrieving and delivering customer vehicles and management of EV charging stations
  • safely operate customer and company vehicles in accordance with traffic regulations, laws and policies
  • perform hourly and daily key audits including key transfers
  • manage cash, valet tickets, ticketless technology systems, keys and equipment as per company policy
  • assist in completing hourly and daily activity logs
  • safely operate, ride, rebalance and secure bicycles
  • maintain professional appearance and courteous demeanor at all times
  • show respect and sensitivity for cultural differences and promote a harassment-free environment
  • have working knowledge of account specific details
  • be flexible with work shifts and hours to service peak volume periods and other situations
  • perform other duties as assigned
