Job Description
Palms is a premier hospitality establishment known for its dedication to creating memorable guest experiences through exceptional service and attention to detail. As a luxury hotel, Palms prides itself on offering a welcoming and polished environment where guest satisfaction is paramount. The venue caters to a diverse array of guests seeking comfort, convenience, and high-quality amenities during their stay. Integral to Palms' commitment to excellence is its team of front-line service professionals who ensure every interaction reflects the brand's prestigious standards.
The Valet Attendant role at Palms is a vital position within the Front Services department, reporting directly to the Manager of Front Services. This role focuses on delivering best-in-class vehicle and luggage assistance for guests arriving and departing the property. The Valet Attendant is responsible not only for parking and retrieving vehicles safely and efficiently but also for providing a warm, professional greeting that enhances the guest experience from the moment they arrive. This position demands a high degree of professionalism, polish, and stewardship to uphold Palms' exacting expectations.
The attendant’s duties include offering authentic and courteous interactions, inspecting vehicles for preexisting damage, and ensuring the safe operation and parking of a variety of vehicles under different environmental conditions unique to desert climates, such as extreme heat or cold. This role also requires meticulous attention to detail in managing guest payments, vehicle keys, and maintaining thorough records of any incidents or damages. Beyond these operational responsibilities, the Valet Attendant serves as an ambassador for the hotel, providing guests with local information and directions, making each guest’s arrival and departure seamless and pleasant.
Because this role involves constant interaction with guests, executives, and colleagues, the Valet Attendant must maintain a positive public image and a proactive attitude. The position requires adaptability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment that may feature loud noise levels, smoke exposure, and variations in temperature and illumination. Physical stamina is essential as the role involves standing, walking, lifting up to 75 pounds, and performing various coordinated movements.
This opportunity at Palms empowers individuals who are responsible, courteous, and adept drivers, with at least three years of driving experience, to contribute significantly to the guest experience and overall hotel operations. The Valet Attendant role is a cornerstone of the hotel's front door service, ensuring every guest feels valued, welcomed, and cared for. Palms offers a supportive workplace committed to equal employment opportunities and reasonable accommodations, fostering an inclusive culture where all team members can thrive and grow their careers.
Candidates interested in joining the Palms team will find a rewarding role with opportunities for professional development and the chance to work in an esteemed hospitality setting renowned for its dedication to service excellence.
