Job Description
Parking Management Company (PMC) is a national leader in hospitality-focused parking services, renowned for providing exceptional valet and self-parking management across a variety of industries. Headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, PMC delivers a comprehensive suite of parking services, including shuttle services, event parking, and porter/bell services to hotels, resorts, healthcare facilities, and event venues nationwide. PMC operates with a commitment to excellence and a guest-first mindset, serving as an extension of the hospitality experience by delivering seamless, high-touch service to its partners and guests. The company’s dedication to quality and professionalism makes it a trusted partner within the hospitality sector and a standout employer in the parking management industry.
The role of Hospitality Valet Attendant at PMC offers a unique opportunity for both full-time and part-time employment, aimed at individuals who thrive in vibrant, fast-paced hospitality environments. Valet attendants at PMC are essential in creating memorable guest experiences, acting as the first impression when customers arrive and the final goodbye as they depart. The hourly compensation for valets ranges from $13.00 to $20.00 or more after tips, with earnings influenced by both base pay and the quality of customer interactions. This dynamic compensation model rewards outstanding service, making this position suitable for individuals who are motivated by both customer service excellence and earning potential.
As a Valet Attendant at luxury hotels, resorts, and special events, the core responsibility extends beyond just parking vehicles. Valet attendants are charged with delivering courteous, professional services that reflect the high standards of PMC and its hospitality partners. The role demands a balance of physical stamina, excellent communication skills, and a polished, approachable demeanor. Valet attendants conduct vehicle inspections, manage traffic flow efficiently, and maintain a safe environment for guests and their vehicles. They work closely with the Guest Service Coordinator and reporting supervisors to ensure smooth operations. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are critical elements of the job to ensure both guest satisfaction and vehicle security.
This position also places a strong emphasis on teamwork and customer service. Valet attendants not only interact directly with guests but also support their colleagues in maintaining an organized, functional, and welcoming valet area. They handle guest inquiries, resolve challenges with professionalism, and contribute to a positive workplace atmosphere. The role is physically active and often performed outdoors, requiring the ability to stand, walk, lift, and work in varied weather conditions. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays is essential to meet the operational needs of luxury hospitality venues.
PMC supports its employees with comprehensive benefits tailored to foster growth, health, and financial security. Eligible employees gain access to health benefits that include medical, vision, and dental insurance, alongside retirement plans such as a 401K. Additional perks include life insurance, critical illness supplemental insurance, paid time off, paid training, and educational assistance through tuition support programs. PMC also promotes career development with leadership programs and offers discounts through its Perks at Work initiative. The company embraces an inclusive and supportive employment environment, ensuring equal opportunities and accommodations for individuals with disabilities in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and other applicable laws.
This role is classified as non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act, meaning overtime pay is provided for hours worked beyond 40 per week, consistent with all federal and state wage regulations. PMC maintains a policy of pay transparency and equitable compensation practices, allowing open communication about pay and ensuring compliance with local and federal laws. Employees are expected to uphold PMC’s standards for professionalism, attendance, uniform code, and safety, contributing to a secure and engaging work environment.
