Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license for applicable state or commutable distance
- Minimum one month related experience or equivalent education and experience
- Ability to read, write and comprehend English
- Basic arithmetic skills
- Ability to operate manual transmission preferred
- Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Ability to work evening and overnight shifts
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state of employment or within a commutable distance
- One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of customer and personal service principles and processes
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division with whole numbers and using American money
- Understanding of 24-hour and military time systems
- Understanding of rates applicable to time passed
- Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
- Ability to perform parallel parking
Job Duties
- Maintain pleasant and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers, and clients
- Greet guests within five feet using appropriate salutations and guest last names
- Use proper phone etiquette and post in designated areas when not completing tasks
- Park and retrieve vehicles cautiously and assist guests with bell services and luggage
- Open vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and inquiries
- Provide information about facility amenities and local attractions
- Deliver messages, items, and guest amenities as requested
- Shuttle guests to approved locations
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures
- Issue and collect claim checks accurately
- Complete and maintain all ticket information including key tags and damage surveys
- Calculate and collect revenue from guests when needed
