The role of Valet Attendant at Margaritaville Beach Resort is a crucial front-line position responsible for creating the very first and lasting impressions of guests arriving and departing the resort. This fast-paced, guest-facing role requires seasoned professionals who are energetic, engaging, and committed to delivering exceptional customer service. As a Valet Attendant, individuals will be the warm welcome guests experience upon arrival, assisting with parking vehicles safely and efficiently while also providing luggage assistance and valuable information about the resort and surrounding area. Key responsibilities include ensuring vehicle safety by following proper parking procedures, maintaining a clean and organized valet area, and adhering to all safety and traffic regulations. The Valet Attendant must pay close attention to VIPs, special requests, and group arrivals to ensure a personalized service experience.

This role requires a strong focus on safety, attentiveness, and professionalism. Valet Attendants must be able to communicate effectively with guests, manage their workload in a dynamic environment, and demonstrate reliable and respectful handling of guests’ belongings and vehicles. The position demands physical activity such as standing, walking, and occasionally moving heavy items, so physical stamina and the ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles are essential. Job Requirements

  • High school or equivalent
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Valid driver's license and subject to a background check on driving record
  • Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles
  • Effective communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to stand, walk, or run for extended periods or entire work shifts
  • Capacity to move, lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds without assistance and heavier items with assistance
  • Ability to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces as well as up and down stairs and/or a service ramp
  • Willingness to perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival, providing a welcoming atmosphere
  • Open vehicle doors and assist guests entering and exiting the vehicle
  • Provide luggage assistance when needed and ensure guests' belongings are handled with care
  • Safely park and retrieve guest vehicles in a timely and efficient manner according to standard operating procedures
  • Offer guests information about the resort amenities, local attractions, and transportation options
  • Remain attentive to VIPs, group arrivals, and special guest requests
  • Provide directions and respond to general inquiries with confidence and professionalism
  • Observe the "10-5" rule when hotel guests are present
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the valet area, front drive, and surrounding spaces
  • Report any maintenance concerns or safety hazards in the parking lots, garage, or guest areas
  • Follow proper key and vehicle tracking procedures to ensure guest property is secure
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, property driving policies, and safety standards while operating guest and company vehicles
  • Use proper lifting techniques and body mechanics to reduce the risk of injury
  • Remain aware of your surroundings to prevent accidents or hazards in high-traffic areas
  • Promptly report incidents, near-misses, or unsafe conditions to leadership
  • Participate in safety training programs and demonstrate commitment to a safe work environment for guests and fellow team members
