Job Description
Parking Management Company (PMC) is a nationally recognized leader specializing in hospitality-focused parking services. Headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, PMC extends its expertise across various sectors including luxury hotels, resorts, healthcare facilities, and major event venues. With a strong commitment to enhancing guest experiences through seamless valet and self-parking management, shuttle services, event parking, and porter/bell operations, PMC operates with a guest-first mindset that positions it as an essential partner to its clients.
PMC is dedicated to delivering high-touch, professional service that mirrors the quality and standards of the hospitality industry at large. The company fosters an environment where each employee acts as an extension of the hospitality experience, ensuring that guests receive courteous, efficient, and personalized attention from arrival to departure. This focus on excellence is reflected in their operational strategies and the thorough training and support provided to their team members.
The Valet Attendant role at PMC offers both full-time and part-time employment opportunities within the Valet Parking Division, reporting directly to the Valet Supervisor or Guest Service Coordinator. Valets are compensated with an hourly wage ranging approximately from $13.00 to $20.00 per hour, which includes base pay and tips, with actual earnings varying by market and based on service quality. The position is classified as non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act, entitling individuals to overtime pay when applicable.
In this role, the Valet Attendant is much more than a driver; they represent the first impression and the final farewell a guest receives at luxury hotels, resorts, and event locations. The Valet Attendant is responsible for safely parking and retrieving vehicles while upholding a polished, professional demeanor that enhances each guest's visit. This requires not only operational skill such as vehicle inspection, traffic management, and adherence to safety protocols but also strong interpersonal abilities to handle guest interactions positively, even in challenging situations.
Valet Attendants at PMC work in dynamic, fast-paced environments, both indoors and outdoors, frequently interacting with guests and team members alike. Shifts may vary and require flexibility, including working nights, weekends, and holidays. Physical stamina and an ability to lift up to 50 pounds are necessary due to the active nature of the job.
The company provides an engaging workplace that values teamwork, adaptability, and personal development. Employees are encouraged to contribute to a positive work environment, continually learn through training, and participate in leadership development programs. PMC also supports its team with a comprehensive benefits program, including medical, dental, and vision insurance upon eligibility, a 401(k) plan, supplemental insurance options, paid time off, tuition assistance, and other valuable perks.
Overall, joining PMC as a Valet Attendant means becoming part of a reputable company that values safety, professionalism, and exceptional guest service. It offers competitive compensation, opportunities for growth, and the chance to work within an organization dedicated to making a difference in the hospitality parking industry.
