Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license for the state or commutable distance
  • One month related experience or training or equivalent education and experience
  • Knowledge of customer and personal services principles and processes
  • Ability to read and write standard English
  • Ability to comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information to guests, clients and employees
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations including currency
  • Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
  • Ability to understand applicable rates
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission preferred
  • Ability to perform parallel parking

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license applicable to the work location
  • Ability to read and write standard English
  • Ability to comprehend simple instructions, correspondence and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and perform multiplication and division with tens and hundreds
  • Ability to operate using units of American money
  • Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
  • Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
  • Ability to perform parallel parking

Job Duties

  • Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with guests, coworkers and clients
  • Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using guest last names
  • Use salutation of the day and welcome guests
  • Practice proper phone etiquette
  • Post in designated areas when not completing tasks
  • Park and retrieve vehicles cautiously
  • Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage
  • Open vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and inquiries
  • Provide information about facility amenities and local attractions
  • Deliver messages, items and guest amenities
  • Shuttle guests as approved
  • Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures
  • Issue claim checks after receiving vehicle keys
  • Collect claim checks before issuing keys
  • Complete and maintain all ticket information including key tags, guest folios and damage surveys
  • Calculate and collect revenue when needed
