The role of Guest Service Associate at Towne Park is a vital position focused on delivering outstanding hospitality and valet services to guests. Guest Service Associates are responsible for parking and retrieving vehicles promptly and safely, assisting guests with luggage, and managing guest interactions with courtesy and respect. Compensation for this role starts at $10 per hour, and employees have the opportunity to enroll in several benefits programs, including accident insurance, critical illness insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, telemedicine services, and a 401k retirement savings plan. However, eligibility for benefits depends on job classification, length of employment, and hours worked. Seasonal and temporary employees are not eligible for the listed benefits.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license for the state of employment or within commutable distance
  • One month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and processes
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend standard English
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Ability to understand and apply time systems and parking rates
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to safely operate a vehicle including parallel parking
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and perform physical tasks

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state you are applying to work, or within a commutable distance
  • One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
  • Ability to read and write standard English language
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients and employees
  • Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money
  • Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
  • Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
  • Perform parallel parking

Job Duties

  • Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients
  • Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor
  • Use guest last names during interactions
  • Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
  • Practice proper Towne Park phone etiquette
  • Post up in designated areas when not completing tasks
  • Park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
  • Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed
  • Open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
  • Provide guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms and/or amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area
  • Deliver messages, items and/or guest amenities as requested
  • Shuttle guests to appropriate places that are approved by the location
  • Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival
  • Issue claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks from all guests prior to issuing keys
  • Consistently complete and maintain all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey and claim check receipt from all vehicles taken into the valet system
  • Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed
