The role of Guest Service Associate at Towne Park is a pivotal position that demands dedication to exceptional hospitality and customer service. The core responsibilities include parking and retrieving vehicles with utmost care, assisting guests with luggage, and providing reliable information about parking rates, facility amenities, and local attractions. This position involves shifts that may vary between morning and evening hours, which provides a flexible work schedule for employees. The hourly base pay is competitive within the industry, ranging between $12 and $13 per hour, augmented by tips that can add an additional $5 to $10 per hour. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license for the state of employment or nearby state
  • One month related experience or equivalent education and experience
  • Ability to read and write standard english
  • Ability to understand basic math involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Capability to understand time systems such as 24 hour and military time
  • Physical ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to perform safe vehicle parking and retrieval
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state of employment or within commutable distance
  • One month related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
  • Ability to read and write standard english
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10s and 100s
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of american money
  • Ability to understand 24-hour and military time systems
  • Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
  • Ability to perform parallel parking

Job Duties

  • Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers, and clients
  • Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor
  • Use guest last names during interactions
  • Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
  • Practice proper Towne Park phone etiquette
  • Post up in designated areas when not completing tasks
  • Park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
  • Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed
  • Open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
  • Provide guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms and amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area
  • Deliver messages, items and guest amenities as requested
  • Shuttle guests to appropriate places approved by the location
  • Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival
  • Issue claim checks after receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks from guests prior to issuing keys
  • Complete and maintain all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey and claim check receipt
  • Calculate and collect revenue when needed
