Job Requirements

  • Must hold a valid driver's license for the state applying to work or within commutable distance
  • Ability to perform job duties following established practices and procedures
  • Ability to work with specific directions and frequent checks
  • Ability to manage routine decisions within operational instructions and guidelines
  • Physical ability to talk, hear, sit, stand, run, walk, handle objects, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
  • Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to travel up to 5 percent of the time

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
  • Ability to read and write standard English
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers, multiply and divide by 10s and 100s using American money units
  • Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
  • Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
  • Ability to perform parallel parking

Job Duties

  • Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers and clients
  • Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using guest last names
  • Use salutation of the day and welcome guests
  • Practice proper Towne Park phone etiquette
  • Post up in designated areas when not completing tasks
  • Park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
  • Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage
  • Open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
  • Provide information about outlets, meeting rooms and amenities
  • Deliver messages, items and guest amenities as requested
  • Shuttle guests to approved places
  • Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures upon arrival
  • Issue claim checks only after receiving keys
  • Collect claim checks prior to issuing keys
  • Complete and maintain all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey and claim check receipt
  • Calculate and collect revenue when needed
