Towne Park is currently seeking a Guest Service Associate to join their team. This role is critical in providing exceptional hospitality services that reflect the company’s mission of care and professionalism. The Guest Service Associate is responsible for managing guest vehicle parking and retrieval safely and courteously, assisting with luggage, and ensuring that guests feel welcomed from the moment they arrive until their departure. This position offers a competitive base hourly pay of $16 plus tips, working Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm. Employees may also have access to benefit plans including accident insurance, critical illness insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, telemedicine, and a 401k retirement savings plan, dependent on employment classification.
In this role, the Guest Service Associate must demonstrate a friendly and professional demeanor, greet guests warmly, and use proper phone etiquette. Responsibilities include cautious vehicle handling and parking, assisting guests with luggage and directions, providing information about facilities and local attractions, issuing claim checks accurately, and handling financial transactions when necessary. The role requires certain physical demands, such as the ability to lift heavy objects up to 100 pounds, operate in outdoor weather conditions, balance multiple tasks efficiently, and the potential need for some travel.
Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and at least one month of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree
- Valid driver’s license for applicable state or commutable distance
- One month related experience or equivalent education and experience
- Knowledge of customer service principles and processes
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend English language
- Ability to present information effectively
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic including money calculations
- Ability to understand 24 hour/military time and relevant rates
- Ability to operate manual transmission is preferred
- Ability to perform parallel parking
- Physical capacity to lift up to 100 pounds
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods
- Ability to communicate and interact respectfully with guests and coworkers
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state you are applying to work, or within a commutable distance
- One (1) month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
- Ability to read and write standard English language
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
- Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money
- Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
- Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
- Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
- Ability to perform parallel parking
Job Duties
- Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients
- Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor
- Use guest last names during interactions
- Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
- Practice proper Towne Park phone etiquette
- Post up in designated areas when not completing tasks
- Park and retrieve guest vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
- Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed
- Open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
- Provide guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms and/or amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area
- Deliver messages, items and/or guest amenities as requested
- Shuttle guests to appropriate places that are approved by the location
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival
- Issue claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks from all guests prior to issuing keys
- Consistently complete and maintain all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey and claim check receipt
- Consistently complete location on all key tags after parking vehicle
- Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed
