As a Valet Parking Attendant at UC Health, you will play a vital role in enhancing the patient and visitor experience by providing professional valet services within both inpatient and outpatient settings. This position demands a high level of customer service, ensuring safe and efficient parking solutions while assisting patients and visitors with entering and exiting the facilities. You will be responsible for managing vehicle flow, helping with parking administration, guiding visitors using directions or maps, and supporting Medicare transportation drivers. This role is essential for maintaining smooth traffic flow around the campus and making a positive impression on patients and guests from the moment they arrive. The role requires attention to detail, a customer-first attitude, and the ability to handle various vehicle types safely. Through direct interaction with visitors and patients, the Valet Attendant becomes an important ambassador for UC Health, directly contributing to a welcoming and accessible environment. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid driver’s license
  • 0 to 6 months of related experience

Job Duties

  • Demonstrates excellent customer service while interacting with patients, visitors, and guests
  • Assists drivers entering and exiting parking facilities and provides wayfinding and directional information
  • Safely operates a variety of vehicles including automatic and manual transmissions
  • Parks and retrieves vehicles in a timely, safe, and efficient manner
  • Ensures vehicles are secured and keys are stored properly
  • Opens vehicle doors and assists patients and visitors entering and exiting vehicles
  • Provides support for Medicare transportation drivers
  • Escorts wheelchair patients to designated areas
  • Assists with loading and unloading patient belongings
  • Reports accidents, safety hazards, compliance concerns, and policy violations promptly
  • Operates and maintains parking equipment ensuring proper functionality
