Currently, Crothall Healthcare is hiring immediate full-time Valet Attendants to join their team at Arkansas Children’s Valet in Little Rock, Arkansas. This role is pivotal as a first point of contact for patients, guests, and visitors arriving at the hospital, where providing exceptional customer service and ensuring safety are paramount. The Valet Attendant position offers a competitive fixed pay rate of $15.00 per hour and requires a full-time schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:30 am to 6:00 pm, with further details discussed during the interview process.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering a world-class valet service experience by safely and efficiently parking and retrieving client vehicles. Additionally, you provide assistance by escorting patients and visitors in and out of their vehicles, offering superior customer care and ensuring their comfort. Competence in driving a variety of vehicles—including those with both manual and automatic transmissions—is essential, reflecting the diverse fleet you may encounter, ranging from sub-compact cars to SUVs and vans.

Beyond vehicle handling, this position involves the safe transportation of patients and medical equipment, application of proper body mechanics in assisting patients, and ensuring the cleanliness and sanitization of valet areas and wheelchairs. The dynamic nature of the healthcare environment also requires Valet Attendants to respond promptly to emergency activities such as code calls or disaster situations, contributing to the overall safety and efficiency of the hospital setting.

Job Requirements

  • Prior driving experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to drive and operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles
  • Availability to work full-time Monday to Friday, 9:30 am to 6:00 pm
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and transferring patients
  • Commitment to workplace safety and professionalism
  • Ability to respond to emergency situations

Job Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to drive and operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles including sub-compact, compact, full-size, SUVs, vans, and golf carts

Job Duties

  • Ensure safe, timely and accurate delivery of the patient’s/guest’s vehicle
  • Demonstrate competency in driving all types of vehicles including manual and automatic transmission
  • Utilize proper body mechanics when lifting and transferring patients/guests to and from the vehicle and wheelchair
  • Properly and safely transport patients and medical equipment ensuring patient/guest comfort
  • Collect and return wheelchairs to proper holding areas ensuring to disinfect after use
  • Respond to emergency activities such as code calls and disasters
  • Take responsibility for general clean-up of grounds surrounding valet and parking lots
  • Perform other duties as assigned
