Crothall Healthcare is currently hiring for a full-time Valet Attendant at Adventist Health Bakersfield located at 2615 Chester Avenue, Bakersfield, CA 93301. This position offers a fixed pay rate of $24.00 per hour and operates on a full-time schedule, typically from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with varying days as detailed during the interview process. The Valet Attendant acts as the first point of contact for patients, guests, and visitors arriving at the hospital. This role is critical in providing “World Class” valet services, focusing on the safe and timely delivery of clients' vehicles and escorting them safely. The Valet Attendant must demonstrate competency in driving a variety of vehicles, including manual and automatic transmissions, ensuring comfort and safety for the patients and guests during transfer.
In addition to vehicle handling, the team member is responsible for utilizing proper body mechanics to assist patients and guests transferring between vehicles and wheelchairs, transporting medical equipment securely, and maintaining the cleanliness and order of the valet and parking area. Handling emergency situations such as code calls and disasters is also part of the role. Meeting these responsibilities with professionalism and care is essential to maintaining the esteemed reputation Crothall Healthcare holds in the healthcare support services sector.
The ideal candidate must have prior customer service experience to excel in this patient-facing role. The position requires a valid driver's license and the ability to operate various vehicles such as sub-compacts, compacts, full-size cars, SUVs, vans, and golf carts. Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Ensure safe timely and accurate delivery of patient guest vehicles
- Demonstrate competency in driving all types of vehicles including manual and automatic transmissions
- Utilize proper body mechanics when lifting and transferring patients guests
- Properly and safely transport patients and medical equipment ensuring comfort
- Collect and return wheelchairs disinfecting equipment after use
- Respond to emergency activities such as code calls and disasters
- Take responsibility for clean-up of grounds surrounding valet and parking lots
- Perform other duties as assigned
