Job Description
Valet Park of America (VPA) is a leading provider of professional valet parking services known for its commitment to exceptional customer service and operational excellence. With a solid presence in various markets, including the Worcester area, the company prides itself on its positive company culture, numerous employee benefits, and a commitment to career advancement from within. VPA embraces a culture of respect, recognition, and growth for its team members, making it a preferred employer within the valet service industry. The company offers both part-time and full-time employment opportunities, emphasizing a welcoming and inclusive environment for every employee. VPA’s dedication to its customers, clients, employees, and community is reflected in its comprehensive employee programs, including health and dental insurance, paid vacation and sick leave, company events, and scholarship opportunities for its staff.
The role of a Valet Attendant at Valet Park of America is dynamic and physically engaging, perfect for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, interacting with people, and maintaining an active lifestyle during working hours. This position mainly involves greeting and assisting customers, safely parking their vehicles, and being a visible, courteous representative of the establishment served by VPA. Working predominantly overnight shifts from 11 pm to 7 am, Valet Attendants are expected to provide prompt, efficient, and friendly service, often in fast-paced and sometimes challenging weather conditions. The hourly pay ranges typically from $18 base wage plus tips, often totaling $21 to $25 per hour or more, with weekly payroll options including checks, direct deposit, or pay cards.
Valet Attendants at VPA must have excellent communication skills, a valid Class D driver’s license held for at least one year, a clean driving record, and be over 18 years of age. The job demands physical stamina as attendants spend their shifts on their feet, running frequently to retrieve vehicles, and assisting customers by lifting and carrying personal items such as wheelchairs, strollers, baggage, and gifts. Valets must maintain a neat appearance and positive attitude, with the flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and under inclement weather conditions, as shifts are never canceled. The company values veterans and active-duty military and encourages them to apply, emphasizing a strong culture of inclusion and opportunity.
This position offers practical benefits including health and dental insurance after 90 days with a shared cost arrangement, paid vacation for full-time employees, sick time, and significant opportunities for career progression within the company. Employees benefit from incentive programs, company trips to sporting events or picnics, and a quarterly newsletter that keeps them informed and engaged with company updates. Most importantly, VPA fosters a work environment in which all employees are known personally by management, promoting a strong team spirit, respect, and workplace satisfaction, which helps the company to continue growing rapidly even during challenging economic times. Joining Valet Park of America as a Valet Attendant is an excellent choice for anyone looking for part-time or full-time employment that combines customer service, physical activity, and opportunities for advancement in a supportive environment.
