The Guest Service Associate role at Towne Park is a vital position within the company’s operations. This role involves delivering outstanding hospitality services to guests with a professional, courteous, and efficient demeanor. The position is responsible for parking and retrieving guest vehicles safely and promptly, assisting guests with their luggage, and providing helpful information around the facility and nearby attractions. Guest Service Associates serve as frontline representatives who ensure that each visitor receives attentive care and a welcoming experience. They are expected to greet guests warmly, address them by name, and maintain a polite, professional attitude during all interactions. Handling key tickets, explaining parking procedures and rates, and ensuring secure vehicle custody are critical functions of the role. Additionally, the associate may assist guests with local transportation needs such as taxis, answer inquiries about facility amenities and attractions, deliver messages, and shuttle guests as approved by management. This role requires adherence to safety and operational guidelines, emphasizing careful vehicle handling and compliance with company standards. The ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting and standing for long periods is essential. Guest Service Associates must communicate effectively and demonstrate strong customer service skills, contributing to a smooth and reputable parking operation. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license for the state you will work in or commutable distance
  • One month related experience or training or equivalent education and experience
  • Knowledge of customer service principles
  • Ability to read and write standard English
  • Ability to comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
  • Ability to produce simple written communication
  • Ability to present information effectively in small groups
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using American money units
  • Understanding of 24-hour and military time
  • Understanding of applicable billing rates
  • Ability to operate manual transmission preferred
  • Ability to perform parallel parking

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state of employment or within a commutable distance
  • One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of customer and personal service principles and processes
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend standard English
  • Ability to effectively communicate one-on-one and in small groups
  • Ability to perform basic math operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and understanding of American money units
  • Ability to understand 24-hour and military time systems
  • Ability to understand applicable parking rates
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
  • Ability to perform parallel parking

Job Duties

  • Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers, and clients
  • Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using their last names
  • Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
  • Practice proper phone etiquette
  • Post in designated areas when not performing tasks
  • Park and retrieve vehicles cautiously and slowly
  • Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage
  • Open vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and inquiries
  • Provide information about facility outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, and local attractions
  • Deliver messages, items and guest amenities as requested
  • Shuttle guests to approved locations
  • Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures upon arrival
  • Issue claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks before issuing keys
  • Complete and maintain all ticket information including key tags, guest folios, vehicle locations, damage surveys, and claim check receipts
  • Calculate and collect parking revenue when required
