Job Description
Parking Management Company (PMC) is a nationally recognized leader in hospitality-focused parking services. Headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, PMC specializes in providing professional valet and self-parking management, shuttle operations, event parking coordination, and porter/bell services to a diverse clientele across multiple industries such as hotels, resorts, healthcare facilities, and event venues. The company prides itself on delivering a seamless and high-touch guest experience that complements and extends the hospitality services of its partners. PMC upholds a strong commitment to excellence and a guest-first mindset, ensuring that every interaction reflects the highest standards of quality and professionalism.
The role of Hospitality Valet Attendant at PMC is integral to the company's mission of enhancing guest experiences from arrival to departure. Valet attendants are not only responsible for safely and efficiently parking and retrieving vehicles but also act as the first point of contact and final impression for guests. This position requires a polished and professional demeanor, strong communication skills, quick responsiveness, and a genuine passion for hospitality. Valets work in fast-paced environments, often outdoors, managing vehicle flow while delivering exceptional customer service.
Valet Attendants at PMC can expect competitive hourly wages ranging from $13.00 to $20.00 or more, inclusive of tips based on service performance and guest satisfaction, with rates varying by market. Schedules are flexible and available for both full-time and part-time opportunities, classified as non-exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act. This role also offers the added advantage of tip income along with base pay, providing an opportunity to increase earnings through exemplary guest interactions.
Beyond vehicle operation duties, valet attendants contribute to maintaining a safe, organized, and welcoming environment. They conduct vehicle condition inspections, adhere strictly to safety protocols including key handling and driving procedures, and maintain compliance with company attendance and conduct policies. Teamwork, dependability, and adaptability are highly valued as attendants often collaborate with colleagues, handle customer inquiries, and support the dynamic needs of the operation. PMC encourages professional growth and provides paid training, leadership development programs, and tuition assistance as part of their commitment to employee advancement.
The nature of the work requires physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Valet attendants at PMC must maintain a neat appearance in uniform and demonstrate consistent professionalism under various weather conditions and work settings, including indoor and outdoor parking facilities.
PMC is dedicated to pay transparency, equity, and inclusivity, providing an environment where dialogue on compensation is encouraged and where equal employment opportunity is a priority. Employees benefit from comprehensive health plans including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401K plans, supplemental insurance options, and paid time off. As a military-friendly employer, PMC also offers nationwide discounts and recognizes the value of a diverse workforce. Employment with PMC is at-will with a 120-day introductory period to acclimate new employees.
Joining PMC as a Hospitality Valet Attendant offers an excellent entry point into the hospitality and customer service industry, with opportunities to build valuable skills in guest relations, teamwork, and operational efficiency while working in an energetic, supportive, and professional environment.
