The Guest Service Associate plays a pivotal role in Towne Park’s promise to its guests. This position primarily involves providing exceptional hospitality services with attentiveness, friendliness, and efficiency. The associate is responsible for handling parking and vehicle retrieval services, ensuring safety and promptness at all times. They also assist guests with luggage services during arrivals and departures in selected locations, enhancing the overall guest experience. In addition, the Guest Service Associate provides valuable information about the facility’s amenities, local attractions, and logistics such as taxi services and reservations. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain a professional and welcoming demeanor consistently. The position works evenings from Friday through Sunday and offers a competitive hourly base pay starting at $19.18 with additional tips and a $2 shift differential for overnight shifts. Employees are eligible for several benefits such as accident insurance, critical illness insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, telemedicine benefits, and participation in a 401k retirement savings plan, subject to job classification and employment duration. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license
  • One month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of customer service principles
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend English
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Ability to understand time systems and rate calculations
  • Physical ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Availability to work evenings Friday through Sunday
  • Ability to follow established procedures and guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • One month related experience or training
  • Valid driver’s license for the state of employment or within commutable distance
  • Knowledge of customer and personal service principles and processes
  • Ability to read and write standard English
  • Ability to comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations using American money
  • Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
  • Ability to understand applicable rates for time passed
  • Ability to operate manual transmission is highly desirable
  • Ability to perform parallel parking

Job Duties

  • Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers and clients
  • Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using guest last names
  • Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
  • Practice proper Towne Park phone etiquette
  • Post up in designated areas when not completing tasks
  • Park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
  • Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage
  • Open vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
  • Provide information about outlets, meeting rooms, amenities and local attractions
  • Deliver messages, items and guest amenities
  • Shuttle guests to approved locations
  • Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures upon arrival
  • Issue claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys
  • Collect claim checks before issuing keys
  • Complete and maintain all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey and claim check receipt
  • Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed
