The Guest Service Associate/Valet position at Towne Park offers a unique opportunity to join a vibrant team focused on making a direct impact through compassionate service. The role is centered around providing attentive, friendly, and efficient service to guests, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction during visits. This position is based at Fort Sanders Medical Center and involves safely parking and retrieving guest vehicles, assisting with luggage, and delivering exceptional customer care. Starting pay for the Guest Service Associate/Valet role is $13 per hour, with an additional $6 to $9 per hour earned through daily cash tips, reflecting the company’s commitment to competitive and fair compensation. The company also offers a $500 sign-on bonus for full-time or part-time employees, paid out in two installments after 60 days and six months of employment. This role accommodates a flexible work schedule that may include weekdays, weekends, and various shifts based on operational needs, providing flexibility for employees. The Guest Service Associate/Valet is expected to maintain a pleasant, professional demeanor at all times, greeting guests warmly and addressing them respectfully. Key responsibilities include using proper signage when not attending to tasks, driving vehicles cautiously, assisting with bell services, and supporting guests by providing directions and other information. Associates must also manage parking procedures, including issuing claim checks, completing ticket information accurately, and collecting revenue when required. Physical demands of this job are significant, including frequent standing, walking, lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally, and enduring various weather conditions as much of the work takes place outdoors. This role requires someone who is reliable, customer-focused, and ready to make a difference in the daily experiences of others.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license for applicable state
  • One month related experience or training or equivalent education and experience
  • Knowledge of customer service principles
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic and understand time systems
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle is highly desirable
  • Ability to perform parallel parking

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license for applicable state
  • One month related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of customer service principles
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to perform basic math operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Ability to understand 24-hour and military time systems
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle preferred
  • Skill in parallel parking

Job Duties

  • Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers, and clients
  • Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using a professional and friendly manner
  • Park and retrieve vehicles safely and cautiously
  • Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage
  • Provide directions, taxi assistance, reservations, and other guest services
  • Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests
  • Issue claim checks and collect keys accurately, complete and maintain ticket information
