The role of Guest Service Associate at Towne Park is crucial in upholding the company's promise of exceptional hospitality. This position focuses on providing an attentive, friendly, and efficient experience to all guests. As a Guest Service Associate, you are responsible for parking and retrieving guest vehicles safely and promptly, assisting guests with their luggage, and ensuring that guests feel welcomed from the moment they arrive until their departure. This position involves consistent interaction with guests, requiring a professional demeanor, excellent communication skills, and a customer-first mindset. The role demands vigilance and accuracy, especially when handling vehicle keys and claim tickets, maintaining detailed records of parking information, and collecting revenue when applicable. Working morning or evening shifts, the Guest Service Associate must be adaptable and able to work in various weather conditions, as much of the job takes place outdoors. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Valid driver’s license for the state of work or commutable distance
  • One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of customer and personal service principles and processes
  • Ability to read and write standard English
  • Ability to comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Strong communication skills to present information to guests and colleagues
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division with money
  • Understanding of 24 hour and military time systems
  • Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission
  • Ability to perform parallel parking

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state you are applying to work, or within a commutable distance from the state you are applying to work
  • One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
  • Ability to read and write standard English language
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients and other employees
  • Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s
  • ability to perform these operations using units of American money
  • Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
  • Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
  • Perform parallel parking

Job Duties

  • Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers and clients
  • Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet with professional and friendly demeanor
  • Use guest last names during interactions
  • Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
  • Practice proper Towne Park phone etiquette
  • Post up in designated areas when not completing tasks
  • Park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
  • Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed
  • Open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
  • Provide guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms and/or amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area
  • Deliver messages, items and/or guest amenities as requested
  • Shuttle guests to appropriate places that are approved by the location
  • Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival
  • Issue claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks from all guests prior to issuing keys
  • Complete and maintain all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey and claim check receipt from all vehicles taken into the valet system
  • Complete location on all key tags after parking vehicle
  • Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed
