The Guest Service Associate position at Towne Park offers a rewarding opportunity to be a frontline ambassador for the company. The associate is responsible for parking and retrieving vehicles promptly and safely, assisting guests with luggage, and providing helpful information about the facility and surrounding area. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • valid driver’s license for the state of employment or commutable distance
  • one month related experience and/or training or equivalent education and experience
  • knowledge of customer service principles
  • strong communication skills in English
  • basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • ability to operate manual transmission preferred
  • ability to perform parallel parking
  • physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally
  • willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • availability for morning and evening shifts
  • ability to follow operational instructions and departmental guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • must hold a valid driver’s license for the state of employment or within a commutable distance
  • one month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
  • ability to read and write standard English
  • ability to comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
  • ability to write simple correspondence
  • ability to present information effectively in small group or one-on-one situations
  • ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and to multiply and divide by 10’s and 100’s using American money
  • ability to understand 24-hour and military time systems
  • ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
  • ability to operate manual transmission highly desirable
  • ability to perform parallel parking

Job Duties

  • Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients
  • acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using a professional and friendly approach
  • use guest last names during interactions
  • use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
  • practice proper company phone etiquette
  • post up in designated areas when not completing tasks
  • park and retrieve vehicles safely and cautiously
  • assist guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed
  • open vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
  • provide guests with information about facility amenities and local attractions
  • deliver messages, items and guest amenities as requested
  • shuttle guests to approved locations
  • explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival
  • issue claim checks after receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks prior to issuing keys
  • complete and maintain all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey and claim check receipt
  • calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed
