The position of Guest Service Associate at Towne Park offers an exciting opportunity to join the team responsible for delivering superior valet and guest services. This role is hourly-paid with compensation ranging from $18.00 to $18.13 per hour plus tips, reflecting Towne Park’s commitment to offering competitive and fair wages. The scheduled working hours are Monday through Friday from 11:30 AM to 5:00 PM, making this an ideal role for individuals seeking consistent weekday hours with weekends off. The Guest Service Associate is tasked with providing a welcoming, friendly atmosphere for all guests by promptly parking and retrieving vehicles safely, assisting with luggage services, and offering helpful guest information about the facility and surrounding area.

This role requires excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests, clients, and coworkers. Duties include greeting guests within five feet with a professional demeanor, using appropriate salutations, handling vehicle keys and claim checks responsibly, and ensuring adherence to all safety protocols during vehicle operations. Additional responsibilities include assisting guests with directions, reservations, and inquiries, delivering messages and items as needed, and ensuring all parking-related documentation is accurately completed.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • valid driver’s license for the state applying to or within a commutable distance
  • one month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • knowledge of customer and personal service principles
  • ability to read, write and comprehend standard English
  • ability to perform basic math operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • ability to understand 24 hour and military time
  • ability to perform parallel parking
  • physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and withstand outdoor weather conditions
  • ability to safely operate vehicles including manual transmission is preferable

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • must hold a valid driver’s license for the state applied to work or within a commutable distance
  • one month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
  • ability to read and write standard English language

  • ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s, including operations with American money
  • ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
  • ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
  • ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable

Job Duties

  • Maintains pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients
  • acknowledges and greets guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor
  • uses guest last names during interactions
  • uses salutation of the day and welcomes guests to the location
  • practices proper Towne Park phone etiquette
  • posts up in designated areas when not completing tasks
  • parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
  • assists guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed
  • opens all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
  • provides guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms and/or amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area
  • delivers messages, items and/or guest amenities as requested
  • shuttles guests to appropriate places that are approved by the location
  • explains parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival
  • issues claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collects claim checks from all guests prior to issuing keys
  • consistently completes and maintains all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey and claim check receipt from all vehicles taken into the valet system
  • consistently completes location on all key tags after parking vehicle
  • calculates and collects revenue for vehicles when needed
