Job Description
Parking Management Company (PMC) is a nationally recognized leader in hospitality-focused parking services, headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee. With a broad range of services including valet and self-parking management, shuttle services, event parking, and porter/bell services, PMC caters to a variety of sectors such as luxury hotels, resorts, healthcare facilities, and event venues. The company stands out for its commitment to excellence and a guest-first mindset, making it an integral part of the hospitality experience. PMC prides itself on delivering seamless, high-touch service that enhances the customer journey from arrival to departure. Their reputation for reliability and professionalism positions them as trusted partners within the industries they serve.
The role of Hospitality Valet Attendant at PMC embodies much more than the simple task of parking cars. Serving at luxury hotels, resorts, and events, the valet attendant is the first point of contact for guests, responsible for creating a welcoming and polished experience. This position demands a high level of professionalism, energy, and customer service skill, as valets are vital in setting the tone for guest interactions. Valet attendants work full-time or part-time within the valet parking operations department and report directly to the Guest Service Coordinator or Valet Supervisor. Compensated with an hourly rate plus tips ranging between $13.00 to $20.00 or more per hour (depending on market and performance), this position offers a dynamic and rewarding opportunity in the hospitality sector.
Valet attendants at PMC play a critical role in ensuring safety and efficiency while parking and retrieving vehicles. This involves detailed vehicle inspections to document existing damage, ensuring key handling procedures are strictly followed, and maintaining orderly traffic flow. Beyond operational tasks, valet attendants provide outstanding customer service, handling guest inquiries and resolving any issues with professionalism and empathy. The role requires individuals who can move quickly in sometimes fast-paced and outdoor environments while maintaining a neat appearance and positive demeanor.
In addition to guest interactions, valet attendants contribute to the company’s operational excellence by keeping workspaces organized, adhering to attendance and timekeeping policies, and participating in training and staff meetings. Commitment to safety is paramount, with valet attendants required to comply with company policies, safety protocols, and applicable legal standards. Physical stamina and adaptability are necessary since the job often involves standing for long periods, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in varying weather conditions. The flexible schedule demands availability for nights, weekends, and holidays to meet the needs of diverse hospitality settings.
PMC values diversity and inclusion, providing equal employment opportunities regardless of race, gender, disability, or veteran status. The company complies with all relevant labor laws including pay transparency, paid leave, and overtime pay under the Fair Labor Standards Act. PMC also offers competitive benefits such as medical, vision, and dental insurance, 401K plans, supplemental insurance, bonus programs, and tuition assistance to support employee growth and well-being. This positions the valet attendant role as a stable and supportive career opportunity within a nationally respected hospitality services provider.
