Job Description
The Pueblo of Sandia is a distinguished tribal government entity located in New Mexico, offering a harmonious blend of cultural heritage, economic development, and community-centric services. Among its many ventures is a renowned casino and resort destination, which serves as a centerpiece for hospitality and entertainment within the region. The Pueblo is committed to fostering a work environment grounded in integrity, fairness, and collaboration. It emphasizes communication and performance excellence, ensuring all team members are recognized for their valuable contributions. This commitment not only upholds the resort's reputation but also promotes an inclusive culture focused on growth, employee development, and long-term success for both staff and the community.
The role of a Valet Parking Attendant at the Pueblo of Sandia Casino and Resort is a vital position dedicated to enhancing the guest experience. This full-time position demands courteous, prompt, and efficient service to all arriving and departing guests. The attendant is responsible for greeting visitors warmly, assisting them to and from their vehicles, and ensuring the safe parking and retrieval of vehicles with either manual or automatic transmissions. The ideal candidate must possess excellent customer service skills, a good driving record, and the ability to operate a vehicle equipped with a standard transmission. The Valet Parking Attendant acts as one of the first points of contact for guests, reflecting the resort's commitment to exceptional hospitality.
This role is much more than just parking cars; it requires a keen attention to detail to quickly evaluate vehicle conditions, accurately complete valet tickets, securely handle keys, and enter data efficiently into the resort's CPVS system. The attendant is also expected to collaborate with other departments to support a seamless guest experience, provide knowledgeable recommendations about the property and local events, and respond promptly to guest inquiries or issues, using empathy and professionalism.
Working under the Pueblo of Sandia's philosophy encourages staff to maintain punctual attendance, participate in department-required training, and act consistently with the organization’s core values. The working conditions include both indoor and outdoor environments, exposed to varying weather conditions, noise, and physical demands such as lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, standing, and operating under certain environmental hazards. This position not only requires physical stamina and dexterity but also a conscientious approach towards guest safety and satisfaction.
Overall, the Valet Parking Attendant role at the Pueblo of Sandia Casino and Resort promises a dynamic work environment that blends service excellence with cultural pride. It plays a crucial part in creating first and last impressions for guests, thus contributing significantly to the resort’s brand and ongoing success. The role is suitable for individuals who thrive on interpersonal interaction, enjoy delivering exceptional service, and aspire to be part of a team that values integrity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
