The role of Valet Attendant at Heritage Hotels & Resorts is an integral position vital to the guest experience. As the first and last personal contact for guests during their arrival and departure, the Valet Attendant plays a significant role in shaping first impressions and overall satisfaction. This role entails providing professional, organized, and service-oriented assistance to guests, ensuring a welcoming and seamless arrival experience. The Valet Attendant is responsible for safely parking and retrieving vehicles according to company safety and security procedures, assisting with luggage during check-in and check-out with the utmost care, and providing helpful, knowledgeable guidance about the hotel’s amenities, dining options, special events, and local attractions.
Additionally, the position requires a keen awareness of guest flow and arrival patterns to maintain efficiency and organization, strong communication skills to collaborate with Front Office, Security, and other departments, and a commitment to maintaining a professional appearance and conduct aligned with uniform and grooming standards. The Valet Attendant also ensures that the hotel’s driveway, porte-cochere, and parking areas remain clean and tidy, protects company assets, and safeguards the confidentiality of proprietary and guest information. Job Requirements
- Minimum age of 19 with preferably 2 years of driving experience
- Current New Mexico driver’s license with an insurable driving record
- Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast paced guest-facing environment
- Strong awareness of safety and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments to support guest experience
- Hospitality or guest service experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent experience or training

Job Duties
- Welcome guests warmly as they arrive at the property and provide assistance in and out of vehicles
- Safely park and retrieve guest vehicles in accordance with company safety and security procedures
- Assist guests with luggage during check-in and check-out, ensuring careful handling and professional service
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations regarding hotel outlets, amenities, events and local attractions to enhance the guest experience
- Maintain knowledge of ADA parking procedures and all safety and security protocols
- Communicate and partner with Front Office, Security and other departments as needed to support guest needs
- Maintain awareness of guest flow and arrival patterns to ensure efficient and organized service
- Maintain professional appearance and conduct in accordance with uniform and grooming standards
- Ensure the hotel's driveway, porte-cochere, and parking area are kept clean and tidy
- Protect company assets and maintain confidentiality of proprietary, client and guest information
- Other duties as assigned with the functions of this position as needed at the property
