The Valet Attendant position at The Heathman Hotel is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated guest services team that plays a pivotal role in shaping the first and last impressions of guests visiting the hotel. This role is essential in delivering a seamless and gracious experience from arrival to departure. The Valet Attendant is responsible for welcoming guests in a warm and professional manner, safely parking and retrieving vehicles, assisting with luggage, and providing transportation information. Attention to detail, safety, and impeccable customer service are fundamental to this position, as it involves maintaining accurate records, following strict safety protocols, and ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the valet area.

Job Requirements

  • Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand, walk, run short distances, bend, and move for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to safely enter, exit, and operate a variety of guest vehicles
  • Ability to perform repetitive movements as required by the role

Job Qualifications

  • Previous valet, guest services, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
  • Ability to safely operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles preferred
  • Professional, polished, and approachable presence
  • Strong communication and guest service skills
  • Ability to remain calm, courteous, and efficient in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

Job Duties

  • Greet all guests warmly and professionally upon arrival and departure
  • Safely park and retrieve guest vehicles in a timely and efficient manner
  • Maintain a strong presence at the hotel entrance, ensuring guests are welcomed promptly
  • Assist guests with luggage, packages, directions, transportation, and general hotel information
  • Open vehicle and hotel doors for guests and provide assistance as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle keys, valet tickets, and parking locations
  • Follow all safety procedures when driving, parking, and retrieving vehicles
