The Valet Attendant role at Olympia Hospitality is integral to ensuring a smooth and welcoming arrival experience for guests. This position is suited for individuals with a passion for providing excellent customer service, a valid driver's license, and at least one year of driving experience. As a Valet Attendant, you will courteously and safely park and retrieve guest vehicles while adhering to safety protocols and company standards. Your responsibilities will include greeting guests warmly, assisting with luggage, providing information about hotel amenities and local attractions, and ensuring the parking area is clean and orderly. Beyond the technical aspects of vehicle handling, this role demands attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to stay composed under pressure.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of driving experience with a valid driver's license
  • ability to drive manual transmission vehicles
  • possess and maintain a driving record that meets Olympia Hotel Management's driver evaluation criteria
  • availability for nights and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Previous valet experience is preferred
  • minimum of 1 year of driving with a valid driver's license
  • must maintain a valid driver's license and comply with DMV guidelines
  • previous experience driving a van is preferred
  • experience in guest service and or working with the public is helpful
  • high school diploma and or equivalent work experience

Job Duties

  • Greet arriving guests warmly and assist them with parking their vehicles in a safe and efficient manner
  • drive and maneuver guests' vehicles carefully to designated parking spots, ensuring that all safety protocols and procedures are followed
  • retrieve guests' vehicles promptly upon request, assist with loading luggage or belongings, and ensure that vehicles are returned in the same condition as received
  • welcome arriving guests and assist them with unloading luggage or belongings from their vehicles
  • escort guests to their rooms, carrying luggage as needed, and provide information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions
  • assist guests with luggage storage, retrieval, and delivery to their rooms, ensuring that all items are handled carefully and delivered promptly
  • provide courteous and attentive service to guests, responding promptly and professionally to their requests, inquiries, and concerns
  • offer assistance with transportation arrangements, restaurant reservations, and other guest needs, and provide directions and recommendations for local attractions and activities
  • anticipate guests' needs and preferences and proactively offer assistance and solutions to enhance their stay experience
  • adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including traffic laws, vehicle handling guidelines, and security measures, to ensure the safety and security of guests, vehicles, and property
  • maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the valet parking area, bell stand, and lobby entrance, including removing debris, organizing luggage carts, and replenishing supplies as needed
  • report any safety hazards, maintenance issues, or security concerns to the appropriate supervisor or manager for resolution
  • must be available for nights and weekends
