The Valet position at ABM plays a critical role in delivering professional, courteous, and compassionate guest services related to vehicle parking and retrieval at client facilities. This hourly role offers a competitive wage of $24.21 per hour, with exact pay varying based on experience, skills, geographic location, and market alignment. Ideal candidates include both those entering or returning to the workforce with limited prior experience, as well as veterans, with military occupational specialty codes such as 88M, 31B, LS, 3531, 5811, 3P0X1, and 2T1X1 encouraged to apply.
In this hands-on role, the Valet is responsible for coordinating traffic flow, communicating clearly and effectively with guests, and ensuring all vehicles are handled safely and securely in compliance with traffic laws and facility policies. Tasks include operating both standard and automatic transmissions, monitoring parking to prevent illegal activity, assisting guests with loading and unloading, and managing payments accurately. Valets are expected to perform these duties efficiently while working outdoors in all climate conditions and maintaining a clean work environment.

Job Duties
- Coordinate traffic flow
- communicate valet procedure, information and directions clearly and effectively with guests
- understand and respond appropriately to basic customer and team member inquiries
- monitor illegal parking and immediately store vehicles
- interact with guests in a friendly manner
- assist guests with loading and unloading
- collect and secure guest keys
- predict and communicate traffic flow peaks and lot issues
- identify and arrange for extra support for extended wait times
- accurately tally and split the tip pool
- receive and receipt a variety of valet payments
- accurately reconcile and report daily revenue
- project currency and coin requirements and re-order as necessary
- operate, park and retrieve all vehicles in a safe manner by obeying all traffic laws, facility policies, and applicable pedestrian regulations
- work in an outdoor unprotected environment in all climates for extended periods of time
- keep work area clean of debris
