The role currently open is for a Valet Attendant position within The Luxury Collection Hotels & Resorts under Marriott International. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement and parking of personal and commercial vehicles, including guest vehicles, taxis, limousines, and buses, on the hotel property. The Valet Attendant is responsible not only for directing traffic but also for maintaining the safety, security, and cleanliness of parking areas. This includes monitoring the lot for hazards and unauthorized personnel and alerting supervisors as necessary.

Additionally, the Valet Attendant handles transactional duties such as processing payments of various types, balancing and securing the cash bank at shift changes, and ensuring compliance with company policies related to safety, confidentiality, and customer service standards. The position requires a professional demeanor, clear and polite communication, and an ability to anticipate and meet guest service needs. Valet Attendants also provide assistance to individuals with disabilities and maintain positive working relationships with team members to create a supportive work environment.

This is an hourly employment opportunity with a competitive pay range of $21.00 to $30.46 per hour. Job Duties

  • Monitor and direct personal and commercial vehicle traffic on property
  • Ensure vehicles are legally parked and maintain efficient traffic flow
  • Monitor and maintain safety, security, and cleanliness of parking areas
  • Report vehicles/safety hazards, unauthorized personnel, or security issues to management
  • Re-route traffic when parking capacity is reached and inform staff
  • Count bank at beginning and end of shifts
  • Secure the bank and balance receipts as per accounting specifications
  • Process all payment types, adjustment vouchers, paid-outs, correction vouchers, and miscellaneous charges
  • Provide change to guests
  • Follow company policies and procedures
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to manager
  • Complete required safety trainings and certifications
  • Maintain clean and professional uniform and appearance
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets
  • Welcome and acknowledge guests per company standards
  • Anticipate and address guest service needs
