GBMC is currently seeking a Valet and Facility Support Associate to join their team. This role is vital for maintaining the smooth operation of the parking and facility support services at the medical center. Employed under general supervision, the valet provides the important service of managing vehicle intake, parking, and retrieval efficiently and safely. The position goes beyond vehicle handling and includes various operational functions such as customer service, cashiering, preparing bank deposits, handling cash, operating revenue control equipment, completing daily reports, and managing opening and closing duties of the booths.
This full-time position offers competitive pay, ranging from $17.13 to $21.69 per hour, dependent on the candidate's experience, educational background, and alignment with GBMC’s organizational values. The role demands a professional demeanor, excellent communication skills, and the ability to exercise sound judgment in a dynamic environment. This includes working in varying weather conditions, both indoors and outdoors, and occasionally lifting items up to 25 pounds. The successful candidate must show an ability to interact positively and attentively with patients, visitors, and staff, reflecting the values of respect, excellence, accountability, teamwork, ethical behavior, and result orientation that GBMC upholds.
The position also requires maintaining necessary credentials including a valid driver's license and obtaining CPR certification within the first 90 days of employment. Job Requirements
- valid driver's license which must be maintained throughout employment
- CPR certification within 90 days of employment and maintained throughout employment
- ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments under varying weather conditions
- ability to stand, sit, and walk for prolonged periods
- ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 25 pounds

Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED equivalent
- one year working experience
- one year driving experience
- professional character with all patients, visitors, and staff
- ability to perform basic math and understand rates applicable to services
- ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment
- strong written and verbal communication skills
- excellent customer service skills
- knowledge of record-keeping procedures and practices
- basic understanding of computer operation
- ability to operate cash registers and revenue control equipment
Job Duties
- Acknowledge, greet, and welcome patients/visitors
- assist patients/visitors with valet needs
- comply with traffic regulations to operate vehicles in a safe and courteous manner
- clarify parking rates and valet procedures to patients and visitors
- daily collection and categorization of process parking ticket transactions
- maintain safe and clean work environment by following standards and procedures
- report any accidents to manager on duty
- support daily operations of the parking facility
- perform cashiering function as needed
- stock and maintain all revenue control equipment
- prepare daily sales reports
- assist customers in the use of automated revenue control equipment including ticket dispensers, pay stations, and exit station equipment
