The Valet & Bell Attendant role at Cascade Hotel Kansas City is a pivotal position within the Front Office team. This full-time or part-time opportunity is ideal for individuals who are passionate about hospitality and enjoy engaging with guests in a fast-paced luxury environment. As a Valet & Bell Attendant, you will be the first and last point of contact guests encounter, responsible for ushering in exceptional first impressions and maintaining those high standards throughout their visit. Your key responsibilities will include valet parking, luggage assistance, and providing personalized hospitality services that enhance the guest experience from arrival to departure.
This role requires a high degree of professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to operate guest vehicles safely, including manual transmissions when necessary. The Valet & Bell Attendant ensures a smooth and welcoming arrival and departure experience by safely parking and retrieving vehicles, assisting with guest luggage and packages, and escorting guests to their rooms while providing useful information about hotel amenities and local attractions. Maintaining organized and clean lobby and valet areas is essential to uphold the hotel’s luxury standards.

Job Requirements
- Successful completion of a background check is required as a condition of employment
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and remain active for extended periods
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 pounds
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Maintain professional appearance, grooming, and uniform standards
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require
- Regular attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the position
- Part-time associates must maintain a minimum availability of 16 hours per week
Job Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to safely operate guest vehicles, including manual transmission vehicles when required
- Previous hotel, valet, bell services, or hospitality experience preferred
- Knowledge of the Kansas City area, local attractions, restaurants, and entertainment venues preferred
- Previous experience delivering luxury or upscale guest service preferred
Job Duties
- Welcome guests upon arrival and departure with a warm, professional, and engaging demeanor
- Safely park and retrieve guest vehicles in accordance with hotel policies and safety standards
- Assist guests with luggage, packages, and personal belongings
- Escort guests to guest rooms and provide information regarding hotel amenities, services, and local attractions
- Store and retrieve luggage using established tracking procedures
- Respond promptly to guest requests, questions, and service needs
- Maintain organized, clean, and professional valet, bell, and lobby areas
- Monitor hotel arrivals, departures, VIP guests, and group activity to anticipate guest needs
- Operate valet ticketing and vehicle tracking systems accurately
- Maintain clear access to hotel entrances, drive lanes, and emergency routes
- Communicate guest preferences, concerns, and service opportunities to hotel leadership
- Uphold Marriott service standards and contribute to a positive guest experience
- Perform additional duties as assigned
