The Valet position at ABM offers a professional, courteous, and compassionate guest service role with a schedule of Thursday to Monday, 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM, and pays $17.34 per hour. This job is well suited for individuals entering or re-entering the workforce with limited experience or education. The role requires strong communication skills, the ability to manage traffic flow efficiently, and a friendly demeanor when interacting with guests. Valets are responsible for parking and retrieving vehicles safely, adhering to all traffic laws and facility policies. They must be capable of operating both standard and automatic transmissions and working outdoors in all weather conditions for extended hours.

In this role, valets coordinate traffic flow, communicate valet procedures clearly to guests, monitor illegal parking, collect and secure guest keys, handle a variety of valet payments, and manage tip pools accurately. They must be able to anticipate and communicate traffic flow peaks and arrange additional support during wait times. Maintaining a clean work environment and projecting currency and coin requirements for daily operations are also part of the responsibilities. Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to operate both standard and automatic transmissions

  • Must pass background check and drug screening

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Coordinate traffic flow
  • Communicate valet procedure, information and directions clearly and effectively with guests
  • Understand and respond appropriately to basic customer and team member inquiries
  • Monitor illegal parking and immediately store vehicles
  • Interact with guests in a friendly manner
  • Assist guests with loading and unloading
  • Collect and secure guest keys
  • Predict and communicate traffic flow peaks and lot issues
  • Identify and arrange for extra support for extended wait times
  • Accurately tally and split the tip pool
  • Receive and receipt a variety of valet payments
  • Accurately reconcile and report daily revenue
  • Project currency and coin requirements and re-order as necessary
  • Operate, park and retrieve all vehicles in a safe manner by obeying all traffic laws, facility policies, and applicable pedestrian regulations
  • Work in an outdoor unprotected environment in all climates for extended periods of time
  • Keep work area clean of debris
