Job Description

The Valet Services team plays a vital role within the healthcare environment, specifically at CARTI, by providing exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, employees, and various departments. CARTI is a specialized medical facility dedicated to offering comprehensive cancer care, including radiation therapy and other advanced treatments. As a leading healthcare institution, CARTI places great emphasis on patient comfort and satisfaction, aiming to create a welcoming and supportive environment for everyone who walks through its doors. The members of the Valet Services team contribute significantly to this mission by ensuring that all visitors have a positive first impression through friendly, courteous, and efficient assistance.

The role of a Valet Services team member at CARTI centers on greeting patients and visitors warmly upon their arrival, addressing their needs, and providing directions while respecting privacy and confidentiality. This role demands maturity, dependability, and excellent communication skills. These individuals assist patients by providing wheelchairs or other necessary services, escorting patients to their destinations within the facility, and helping patients as they enter or exit vehicles. They are expected to multitask efficiently, managing several customers at once, and ensure the safety, security, and cleanliness of parking areas. Monitoring commercial and transport vehicle traffic is also an important aspect of the job to ensure smooth and safe operations.

Beyond assisting patients and visitors, valet team members are responsible for managing traffic flow, rerouting vehicles to alternate parking levels during busy times, and maintaining their personal appearance and workstations to project a professional image. Uniforms are provided and must be kept neat and clean at all times. Staff also complete required safety trainings to uphold the highest standards of safety and professionalism within the work environment.

Working in this capacity at CARTI means contributing to a patient-centered culture of care. Team members in this role directly impact the overall experience of patients and their families during potentially stressful visits. The position also involves exposure to weather conditions and potential infectious diseases, with appropriate safety measures and vaccinations provided. The role requires physical stamina, including the ability to stand for extended periods, and good vision to perform tasks effectively.

This is a safety-sensitive position demanding constant alertness and the ability to work in a safe manner under all circumstances. CARTI values its employees and ensures that individuals in the Valet Services team have the support necessary to succeed in delivering premier customer service in a healthcare setting. This job is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy interacting with people, can manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and want to contribute positively to the care and comfort of patients and guests. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and prior experience in a customer service environment, making it suitable for candidates prepared to uphold the facility's standards of excellence and patient confidentiality.
