Renowned for its commitment to excellence, MB Manhattan provides customers with a premium car buying experience, exemplary customer service, and top-quality vehicles. As part of the broader Mercedes-Benz network, MB Manhattan upholds a strong reputation for luxury, reliability, and performance. The dealership not only offers direct vehicle sales but also incorporates comprehensive vehicle logistics and preparation operations to ensure every car meets the highest standards before reaching customers.

The Valet role at MB Manhattan is a pivotal position within the Vehicle Logistics team. This role specifically supports the Vehicle Logistics Coordinator with the movement and management of the dealership's fleet, including both new and pre-owned vehicles. Based in Manhattan, New York City, the role involves coordinating vehicle transfers between the dealership and the New Jersey Prep Center, playing a critical part in maintaining the flow of inventory and ensuring that all vehicles are prepped and ready for sale or delivery. This full-time position requires a dedicated individual with excellent organizational and driving skills, who can maintain accuracy and timeliness in vehicle logistics processes.

Responsibilities of the valet include assisting with the shipment of new vehicles to and from the dealership’s delivery areas according to scheduled plans. The valet also serves as back-up to the Central Dispatch Logistics Supervisor, demonstrating flexibility and the ability to adapt to varying needs within the logistics department. For pre-owned vehicles, the valet works closely with the Pre-Owned Sales Manager to designate vehicles not purchased and coordinate their return to the Prep Center. Additionally, the valet stages and displays all vehicles in both the new and pre-owned showrooms to ensure optimal visual presentation.

The role requires a hands-on approach to vehicle preparation including reviewing the condition of lease returns, checking cars with the appropriate status, marking vehicles being transported with dates, printing Carfax reports for placement inside glove compartments, and employing the dealership’s Key System in accordance with internal protocols. Installation of Certified Pre-Owned inspection and warranty stickers, model year information on windshields, and other federal tags or labels are vital duties. The valet is also responsible for ensuring all vehicles returned from the Prep Center are detailed, tagged, fueled, and ready for delivery, including re-photographing vehicles when necessary.

This role is ideal for a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced environment, maintains a meticulous attention to detail, and has a passion for automotive excellence. Commuting into and out of Manhattan and New York City on a daily basis is a requirement for this position. Prior experience at a car dealership is highly valued, with a minimum of three years recommended. A valid driver’s license and a high school diploma or GED (or equivalent work experience) are mandatory.
