The Valet position at ABM is an excellent opportunity for individuals entering or re-entering the workforce, even those with limited prior experience or education. The role responsibilities primarily revolve around providing professional, courteous, and compassionate guest services to enhance customer satisfaction. This position involves handling vehicle coordination and traffic control efficiently while interacting positively with guests. Valets must possess the ability to operate both automatic and standard transmission vehicles safely, and confidently manage vehicle keys and payments.

The role requires working in an outdoor environment across all types of weather and maintaining cleanliness of the work area. This job is well suited to candidates who are reliable, customer-focused, and capable of multitasking in a dynamic and sometimes fast-paced setting. The schedule includes two shifts from Monday to Friday: mornings from 7:00 am to 11:00 am and afternoons from 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm, offering a structured routine.

Job Duties

  • Coordinate traffic flow
  • Communicate valet procedure, information and directions clearly and effectively with guests
  • Understand and respond appropriately to basic customer and team member inquiries
  • Monitor illegal parking, and immediately store vehicles
  • Interact with guests in a friendly manner
  • Assist guests with loading and unloading
  • Collect and secure guest keys
  • Predict and communicate traffic flow peaks and lot issues
  • Identify and arrange for extra support for extended wait times
  • Accurately tally and split the tip pool
  • Receive and receipt a variety of valet payments
  • Accurately reconcile and report daily revenue
  • Project currency and coin requirements and re-order as necessary
  • Operate, park and retrieve all vehicles in a safe manner by obeying all traffic laws, facility policies, and applicable pedestrian regulations
  • Work in an outdoor unprotected environment in all climates for extended periods of time
  • Keep work area clean of debris
