Job Description
MC: Hospitality Services is a reputable provider of specialized valet services within the healthcare industry, dedicated to enhancing the experience of patients, guests, visitors, physicians, and employees. Operating primarily within the LLUMC and LLUCH hospital environments, this department is committed to delivering world-class customer service through professional and courteous interactions. The organization thrives on creating a positive and productive working environment that aligns with its mission and vision to serve with genuine enthusiasm and professionalism. The company emphasizes the importance of maintaining high standards of personal presentation and customer care, ensuring that all individuals feel welcome and well-assisted throughout their visit. Valet services at MC: Hospitality Services go beyond parking cars; they include personalized assistance such as opening car doors, offering help to those in need, providing directions, and escorting guests as necessary. Safety and efficiency are paramount, with vehicles being parked and retrieved promptly and securely, thus contributing to the overall smooth operation of the hospital facilities. This role presents an excellent opportunity for individuals who are personable, attentive, and eager to contribute positively to the healthcare visitor experience through exceptional valet services.
The Valet position is a full-time, day-shift role focused on delivering superior customer service at LLUMC and LLUCH hospitals. The valet is the first point of contact for guests and patients, setting a welcoming tone through direct eye contact, smiles, and courteous communication. This job requires excellent listening skills to accurately assess and meet customer needs, ensuring responsive and friendly service at all times. The role demands physical stamina to open car doors, assist customers, safely park vehicles in designated valet spots, and retrieve them in a timely manner. Furthermore, the valet is responsible for handling funds appropriately and maintaining clear and professional interactions at all times. A high school diploma or GED is required, with at least one year of prior experience preferred. Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license at the time of hire and exhibit proficiency in using common office software, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are essential for successful performance. The position demands critical thinking, effective organization of workload, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work independently with minimal supervision. The work environment can be fast-paced and stressful; hence, the ability to stay calm under pressure, collaborate with team members, and accept direction is crucial. Additionally, valets must have adequate sensory perception to safely perform duties—being able to distinguish colors, hear conversations and workplace sounds, and see sufficiently for reading documents and computer screens. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive on delivering exceptional service and contributing to the seamless operations of a healthcare facility through expert valet service and genuine care for every guest and patient.
