Job Description

Marriott International is a globally recognized leader in the hospitality industry, known for its commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences across a diverse portfolio of hotel brands. Among these, Marriott Hotels and JW Marriott stand out as premier choices for travelers seeking both comfort and luxury. Marriott Hotels focuses on elevating the art of hospitality by innovating continuously while preserving the warmth and familiarity that guests expect. JW Marriott, part of Marriott International's luxury portfolio, operates more than 100 iconic properties in prime gateway cities and distinctive resort locations worldwide. JW Marriott emphasizes a people-first approach, valuing its associates and fostering a work environment rich with camaraderie, diversity, and personal development. This global hospitality powerhouse fosters equal opportunity, inclusivity, and a culture where every associate can thrive and contribute meaningfully to the guest experience.

The role of Guest Arrival Expert at Marriott is integral to crafting memorable first and last impressions for hotel guests. This position entails guiding guests through their arrival and departure processes, ensuring that every interaction enhances the overall stay. Guest Arrival Experts are empowered to take initiative, whether that means processing necessary operational tasks, responding to guest requests, preparing reports, or sharing insights about local highlights to enrich the guest experience. The role demands a proactive, hands-on approach where one is consistently on their feet, moving around to meet the dynamic needs of guests and the hotel. Handling physical tasks such as moving, lifting, carrying, and pushing objects—sometimes weighing up to 50 pounds alone or more with assistance—is part of the daily routine. Additionally, maintaining professionalism through adherence to company policies, safeguarding confidentiality, protecting assets, upholding quality standards, and presenting a neat personal appearance and communication style is paramount.

The Guest Arrival Expert does not require prior work experience, supervisory background, or special licenses, making it an excellent entry point for individuals eager to begin a career in hospitality. Marriott International invests in training, development, and recognition opportunities, encouraging associates to pursue their passions and grow within the company. The role offers exposure to a vibrant work culture where associates are supported to be their best selves and deliver "Wonderful Hospitality. Always." Joining Marriott Hotels or JW Marriott means becoming part of a world-class global team dedicated to excellence in service and sustained personal and professional growth. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who value integrity, teamwork, and a commitment to delivering unmatched guest satisfaction in a supportive, inclusive environment.
