The role of Valet at ABM is designed to deliver professional, courteous, and compassionate guest services while managing vehicle operations safely and efficiently. This position is ideal for individuals entering or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education, providing a great opportunity for career growth in a supportive and structured environment. As a Valet, key responsibilities include coordinating traffic flow, effectively communicating valet procedures and important information to guests, assisting guests with loading and unloading, and ensuring the secure handling of guest keys. The role also requires vigilance in monitoring parking areas to prevent illegal parking and promptly store vehicles accordingly. Beyond guest interaction, the Valet is responsible for managing operational tasks such as predicting peak traffic times, arranging extra support during extended wait periods, tallying and splitting tip pools accurately, processing valet payments, reconciling daily revenue reports, and maintaining currency and coin supplies. Ensuring safety is paramount, as Valets must operate, park, and retrieve all vehicles following traffic laws, facility policies, and pedestrian regulations. This job often requires spending extended periods outdoors in various weather conditions. Additionally, Valets are expected to keep their working areas clean and free of debris, contributing to a positive and organized parking environment. The position requires candidates to be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver’s license, and possess the ability to operate both standard and automatic transmission vehicles. Job Duties

  • coordinate traffic flow
  • communicate valet procedure, information and directions clearly and effectively with guests
  • understand and respond appropriately to basic customer and team member inquiries
  • monitor illegal parking, and immediately store vehicles
  • interact with guests in a friendly manner
  • assist guests with loading and unloading
  • collect and secure guest keys
  • predict and communicate traffic flow peaks and lot issues
  • identify and arrange for extra support for extended wait times
  • accurately tally and split the tip pool
  • receive and receipt a variety of valet payments
  • accurately reconcile and report daily revenue
  • project currency and coin requirements and re-order as necessary
  • operate, park and retrieve all vehicles in a safe manner by obeying all traffic laws, facility policies, and applicable pedestrian regulations
  • work in an outdoor unprotected environment in all climates for extended periods of time
  • keep work area clean of debris
